New Campus

In September 2012, the Sugar Bowl Ski Team & Academy broke ground on a project to relocate SBA to a new ski-in/ski-out campus at Sugar Bowl Resort with full completion scheduled for June 2014.

Sugar Bowl Academy’s new campus includes:

New academic building housing:

  • a total of eight classrooms (two of which will be state-of-the-art science labs)
  • an open resource area where students will gather and study during free periods
  • administrative offices

New co-ed dormitory:

  • dorm rooms for 33 student-athletes arranged in doubles, triples or quads
  • two faculty apartments
  • a student lounge area for boarding students to gather and eat breakfast
  • ski storage and tuning facilities for boarding students

New athletic training center, the Sporthaus, built in conjunction with Sugar Bowl Corporation

Existing modular classroom buildings house:

  • casual meeting spaces for students and staff
  • additional ski storage and tuning facilities for day students
  • physiological treatment room

Use of the Village Hall for assemblies and dining

The completion of these facilities mark a major milestone in SBA's history and critical in accommodating recent growth and ultimately the athletic and academic needs of a student body of up to 75.

A new campus in the Sugar Bowl Village will completely transform the Sugar Bowl Academy experience - unifying the entire Academy and Ski Team community and providing a more professional place for SBA students and staff to live and learn.
